At the beginning of 2022, CDC Ha Noi – a construction general contractor with more than 10 years of experience – was recognized in the Top 500 Largest Private Enterprises in Vietnam 2021 and the Top 10 Famous Brands in Vietnam 2021.

Construction is one of the industries most affected by COVID-19. According to the General Statistics Office, during the first nine months of 2021, most construction companies faced difficulties due to social distancing measures implemented in many localities, causing projects to be temporarily halted or to operate under the “three on-site” policy. These interruptions made it difficult to maintain construction schedules… Additionally, the skyrocketing prices of construction materials further exacerbated the stress for many contractors, making immediate improvements challenging.

CDC Ha Noi, a construction general contractor since 2011, was not exempt from these challenges. According to the leadership of CDC, through a strategy of flexible and safe adaptation and responsibility to investors and employees, the company still made promising progress.

At the start of 2022, CDC Ha Noi consecutively won two prestigious brand awards in Vietnam. Specifically, on January 14, CDC Ha Noi was honored in the Top 500 Largest Private Enterprises in Vietnam 2021 – VNR500 (independently researched and evaluated by Vietnam Report on international standards with the consultation of Professor John Quelch, former Vice Dean of Harvard Business School).

Most recently, on February 22, CDC Ha Noi welcomed a delegation from the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association. During the visit, the President of the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association highly appreciated the company’s ability to adapt and overcome difficulties during the pandemic among some exemplary Vietnamese enterprises. At the end of the meeting, CDC Ha Noi was awarded the certificate for the Top 10 Famous Brands in Vietnam 2021.

Statistical data from these two rankings over the years show that CDC Ha Noi has experienced significant growth. In the VNR500 ranking for 2021, CDC Ha Noi climbed 77 places compared to 2020. With objective assessments and voting by the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association, CDC Ha Noi moved from the Top 50 (in 2019) to the Top 10 Famous Brands in Vietnam in just two years.

Explaining this, Ngo Tan Long – Chairman of the Board of Directors of CDC Ha Noi said, “The philosophy of CDC is very simple, which is ‘Going Together’, and ‘going together’ requires being decent with each other (with partners, customers, and our own employees). The collective strength is always the key to opening any doors the company wants.”

With this spirit, CDC Ha Noi has become the top choice for many major investors such as: Mipec, Apec Group, Cen Invest, Hoang Huy Group, Handico… The company leaders stated that at each project, CDC constructs based on principles of safety, quality, and timely progress. In 2021, the company recorded over 9 million “accident-free labor hours”. The pandemic situation was also tightly controlled at each construction site, hence there were no community outbreaks or project delays due to a lack of manpower.

With its own strategy, in addition to the two prestigious awards mentioned above, at the beginning of 2021, CDC Ha Noi also received the FAST500 certificate (announced by VNR) – ranking 9th out of 500 fastest growing enterprises in Vietnam.
